Who we are

ACTA Board Members

The Australian Community Transport Association (ACTA) is the only national peak body representing the community transport sector across Australia. Established in 2011, ACTA brings together representatives from all states and territories to provide a unified voice for community transport providers, advocating for the sector’s sustainability, visibility, and long-term impact. ACTA operates as a not-for-profit, committed to supporting organisations that deliver vital transport services to people who are older, living with disability, or otherwise experiencing transport disadvantage.

CHSP certainty today, the opportunity to get tomorrow right

Last month brought some genuinely welcome news for our sector. The Australian Government has confirmed that the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) will continue to 30 June 2029, providing certainty for the more than 830,000 older Australians who rely on these essential services. ACTA welcomes the announcement made by The Hon Mark Butler MP, on 20 August 2026.

iMOVE held a webinar looking at the outcomes from the National Community Transport Pricing Model (NCTPM): Sustainable community transport project. Speakers were Murray Coates, from the Australian Community Transport Association (ACTA), and Akshay Vij, from the University of South Australia.
