Lyndon Stevenson

Director (TAS)

Lyndon Stevenson is a prominent figure in Australia’s community transport landscape, widely recognised for his enduring commitment to leadership, innovation, and service. He served as Chair of the Australian Community Transport Association (ACTA)—the national peak body—from May 2018 to November 2022, following his initial appointment to the ACTA Board in 2015. Lyndon has also previously served as Chair of the Victorian & Tasmania Community Transport Association (VTCTA), where he continues to advocate for regional transport solutions across both states.

As Chief Executive Officer of Community Transport Services Tasmania Inc (CTST), Lyndon has led a period of significant growth and transformation. In 2018, CTST launched Area Connect, Tasmania’s first transport-focused social enterprise, expanding its mission to include regional public transport and enabling communities to better access employment and essential services.

In February 2025, CTST further broadened its scope through a strategic merger with Mersey Community Care Association (MCCA), integrating community and at-home support services such as Home Maintenance, Domestic Assistance, and Social Supports. This expansion—now encompassing HACC, CHSP, and NDIS programs—has positioned CTST as a comprehensive provider of mobility and care solutions for Tasmanians.

Today, CTST operates a fleet of more than 120 vehicles, employs approximately 150 staff, and coordinates the efforts of around 400 volunteers, delivering services across Tasmania, including remote regions such as Flinders Island.
